This reference is crafted entirely from Oystersteel, a high-performance 904L steel alloy produced in-house by Rolex. The robust Oyster case guarantees waterproofness to a depth of 100 meters, protecting the movement within from moisture, dust, and pressure.

Advanced Calibre 3285 Movement

At the heart of the 226570 is the Calibre 3285, a self-winding mechanical movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. It features the patented Chronergy escapement, which combines high energy efficiency with great dependability. Made of nickel-phosphorus, it is insensitive to magnetic interference. Coupled with the optimized Blue Parachrom hairspring, the movement ensures a Superlative Chronometer precision of −2/+2 seconds per day and a robust power reserve of approximately 70 hours.

Optimum Legibility and Comfort

To guarantee visibility in the darkest conditions, the Explorer II features a Chromalight display. The broad hour markers and hands are coated with a luminescent material that emits a long-lasting, intense blue glow. The watch is fitted on a solid-link Oyster bracelet equipped with the Oysterlock safety clasp to prevent accidental opening. It also includes the Easylink comfort extension, allowing the wearer to increase the bracelet length by approximately 5mm for a tailored fit in any climate.
